All branches of the United States armed forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard) are paid a base salary determined by the 2023 Military Basic Pay Chart, with additional allowances for things such as housing and meals. Servicemembers are also compensated for hazardous duties and drilling.
